Individual Note: Jacob Kauffman Sr. (RW) was born circa 1741 in Oley Valley, Lancaster Co., PA. He was the son of David Kauffman and Veronica (?). Jacob Kauffman Sr. (RW) married Hannah Hill, daughter of Jacob Hill, circa 1756 in Oley Valley, Lancaster Co., PA. He served in the First Battalion, Fourth Company, from Oley Township, Berks County, under Colonel Daniel Hunter, during the Revolutionary War. He sold George Washington beef and cotton and allowed an encampment of Washington's soldiers in his orchard, north of his homestead. Jacob Kauffman Sr. (RW) was buried after 29 September 1804 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA. He died after 29 September 1804 in Oley Township, Berks Co., PA

Individual Note: Theodore Klinger was born on 12 December 1876 in Lykens Township, Dauphin Co., PA, near Erdman. He was the son of Francis (Frank)Klinger and Harriet Ann Clark Troutman. Theodore Klinger was baptized on 5 March 1877 in Zion (Klinger's) Lutheran Church, Erdman, Dauphin Co., PA. He married Mary McClata Williard, daughter of Jonathan C. Williard and Elmira Elizabeth (Myhia) Klinger, on 15 November 1893 in Hegins, Schuylkill Co., PA, by Irvin B. Ritten, Minister of the Gospel. (Copy of Marriage License, No. 498). He died on 10 May 1956 at the home of his son Mark, at age 79. Theodore Klinger was buried on 14 May 1956 in St. John's (Hill) Lutheran Church Cemetery, near Berrysburg, Dauphin Co., PA.
Death Note: Obituary:
Theodore Klinger, age 79 years, a retired farmer, died at the home of his son, Mark Klinger, Lykens R. D. on Thursday.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Berrysburg.
Mr. Klinger was a son of the late Francis and Harriet (Troutman) Klinger and was a native of Lykens. Township.
His wife, the former Mary Williard, preceded him in death.
Survivors are three sons, Mark Klinger, Lykens R. D; Eston Klinger, Elizabethville R. D., and Harry Klinger, Berrysburg;
four daughters, Mrs. Isaac Howard, Mrs. Homer Feidt and Mrs. Lee nyder, all of Millersburg R.D., and Mrs. Homer Lebo,
Elizabethville; thirty three grandchildren' and thirty-five great-.grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother, William Klinger,
of Gratz; and two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Dunleavy, Elizabethville, and Mrs. Lottie Shirk of Lebanon.
Services were held from the Hoover Funeral Home, Berrysburg at 2:00 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. E. R. Heisler,
pastor, of the Loyalton Evangelical United Brethren Charge, officiated) and interment was made in the St. John's Church Cemetery.
